Donegal County Council has announced that five towns in the county will share a €320,000 pot of funding, from the Department of Rural and Community Development, to aid Streetscape Enhancement.

Milford was selected along with Castelfin, Laghey, Burnfoot and Falcarragh. Milford was chosen as a result of successful lobbying by Milford & District Resource Centre.

MDRC is now actively engaging with property owners on Main Street in Milford to engage with the scheme, which will see 70% of improvement works to buildings covered by the fund. Eligible improvement works include painting, replacement of signage and lighting, installation of planters and decluttering or tidying of facades.
