<strong>Phone Photography/Digital Skills:</strong>
From 11:30 AM to 1:00 PM on Thursdays, join our Phone Photography/Digital Skills class starting on September 19th for only €15 thanks to being part funded by the Social Inclusion and Community Activation Programme.
<strong>Sounds Music Workshop:</strong>
Sounds Music Workshops for children take place on Thursdays from 4:00 PM to 4:45 PM.
<strong>Community Choir:</strong>
Also on Thursdays, the Community Choir will meet from 5:30 PM to 6:30 PM (date to be confirmed).
<strong>Scouting Ireland Info and Sign-Up:</strong>
Thursday 19th September will conclude with a Scouting Ireland Info and Sign-Up session for adult volunteers from 7:00 PM to 8:30 PM Why not volunteer today!
<strong>Jane Watt Chair Yoga:</strong>
Fridays are perfect for winding down with Jane Watt Chair Yoga from 5:00 PM to 6:00 PM, starting on September 20th for €45 for the 5week course.
<strong>Social Dancing:</strong>
Later on, Fridays, enjoy Social Dancing from 7:00 PM to 8:30 PM (date to be confirmed).
<strong>Weekend Availability:</strong>
Weekends are available for party and event bookings, providing a versatile space for community gatherings.
<strong>Upcoming Health and Wellness Events:</strong>
Looking ahead, the centre will host a Women’s Health and Wellness Event on October 20, 2024, followed by a Men’s Health and Wellness Event on November 21, 2024.

<strong>Salary: €23,400 p.a. pro-rata (€12.00 per hour)</strong>
<strong>Reporting to: Manager of MDRC</strong>

<strong>About the Role</strong>
Milford & District Resource Centre (MDRC) seek to hire a part-time Bookkeeper. We are seeking a friendly and professional individual who can contribute meaningfully to this community organisation. The job involves working on clients' accounts, including preparation of VAT returns and yearly Income Tax returns (F11s) . The position is part-time (20 hours per week) and is based in Milford & District Resource Centre.
<u>Purpose of the job – including key tasks and areas of responsibility</u>
Reporting to the Manager of Milford and District Resource Centre, the duties of the Bookkeeper will include, but will not be limited to:
<ul>
<li>Preparation of bank reconciliations and profit and loss accounts for clients;</li>
<li>Preparation of VAT returns for clients;</li>
<li>Preparation of Income Tax Returns for clients;</li>
<li>Data entry onto online accounting package;</li>
<li>Dealing with clients in a face-to-face environment;</li>
<li>Word processing, document formatting and printing of documents;</li>
<li>Other duties in support of the effective operation and development of Milford & District Resource Centre as requested by the Manager and/or the Board of Directors.</li>
</ul>
<strong><u>Person Specification</u></strong>
<u>Essential Criteria:</u>
<ul>
<li>At least one year's experience working in a similar bookkeeping role;</li>
<li>At least a Level 5 qualification in Bookkeeping;</li>
<li>Competency in Microsoft Office programmes, particularly Excel;</li>
<li>A flexible approach to working on different projects, tasks and to different deadlines;</li>
<li>A full, clean driver's licence.</li>
<li>A high standard of spoken and written English.</li>
</ul>
<u>Desirable Criteria:</u>
<ul>
<li>Level 5 in Taxation; and</li>
<li>Level 5 in Payroll.</li>
</ul>
(Please note desirable criteria are non-essential)

<strong><u>Conditions of Employment</u></strong>
The conditions of employment which apply to this post will be in accordance with the guidelines in issuance for the operation of the Community Service Programme (CSP). Please note that this position is subject to funding and that those guidelines may be subject to change.
<u>Salary:</u> €23,400 per annum (pro-rata).
<u>Annual Leave:</u> Annual leave entitlements are 20 days pro-rata.
