Áras Uí Dhomhnaill Nursing Home was opened in December 2005. It has been owned and run by Philip O’Donnell and Anne Mc Gilloway since the 20th of May 2011. Prior to this they managed The Lake House Nursing Home in Portnablagh for 4 years. Áras Uí Dhomhnaill Nursing Home has been specifically designed as a single storey building and is laid out to provide the very highest level of comfort and safety for our residents.
Donegal Down Syndrome offers a range of activities including swimming, yoga, drama, music classes, art classes. September 08 will see the start of an intense literacy programme for the young adults.

Donegal Mountain Rescue Team are a 24 hour a day, 365 days a year voluntary emergency response team providing emergency search and rescue response in extreme terrain and mountain conditions throughout the entire county.
For Health & Wellbeing
Primary Care Team members identify persons who could benefit from Social Prescribing (SP), refer person onto SP co-ordinator and inform GP. A person can also self refer.
Supporting older people's well being and independence
The Good Morning Service offers free and confidential support to older people in Donegal.
The Good Morning Service involves local volunteers making a regular phone call to people aged over sixty, so as to ensure they are safe and well. The calls are made at an agreed time and can be daily or once a week, depending on the client’s needs and preferences.
The telephone support Service currently calls over 251 older people in the county, with over 112 volunteers making more than 1000 calls to them per week.
